At the end of the tour, you will be dropped back at your hotel. Itinerary 1Learn more about the Allied landings on 6th June 1944 as you visit key sites such as La Pointe du Hoc, captured the U.S. 2nd Rangers battalion; Omaha beach, one of the D-Day landing sites; and the Normandy American Cemetery. Itinerary 2Visit Utah beach and Sainte Mère Eglise, two important D-Day landing sites; and Brecourt Manor, where the parachute invasion of E company took place - as depicted in hit TV series Band of Brothers. Itinerary 3Follow in the footsteps of the 4th, 79th and 90th Infantry Divisions and the 82nd Airborne division to the La Fière Bridge, Monument Iron Mike and the La Roule battery, then visit Cherbourg, where the Titanic stopped before crossing the Atlantic. Itinerary 4Visit the site of the last battle of the 79th Infantry division in La Haye du Puits, the site of 'Operation Overlord' in Graignes, and 'Operation Cobra' in Saint Lo, followed by a visit to a world-famous church bell manufacturer who recently made two new bells for Paris's iconic Notre Dame Cathedral. Itinerary 5Head south to Avranches, where you can visit the American Cemetery, take a tour of the magnificent Mont St Michel, one of France's most iconic landmarks, and visit the renowned Saint James factory. Itinerary 6Follow in the path of the US, British, French, Polish and Canadian armies, with a tour that takes in the battle sites of Mortain, Argentan, Falaise, and Chambois. You'll also have chance to meet with civilians who witnessed the battle of Argentan.
