Make your own way to the Upper West Side of Manhattan to enter the Lincoln Center for the Arts, where the Met is located. The opera house features impressive staging that provides a compelling backdrop for the Verdi's story of star-crossed love in ancient Egypt. Singers Liudmyla Monastyrska, Latonia Moore, and Krassimira Stoyanova take turns appearing the title role of Aida. Ekaterina Gubanova and Violeta Urmana play the formidable Amneris, daughter of the Egyptian pharaoh, while Marco Berti inhabits the role of the hero Radamès.
