What To Expect

A host will meet you at the Danube Palace to escort you down to the river for your cruise. Admire the festive decor on board as you take a seat and sip on a cool glass of Champagne. Then as you glide out onto the river, watch as Budapest's renowned riverside sights start to come into view. You'll pass the grand structure of the Parliament building, as well as the Royal Palace in Buda. The Citadel will also come into view, along with the Chain Bridge, Gellert Baths and more. With each architectural marvel bathed in white light, the city takes on an especially festive glow during Christmas. Then help yourself to the 3-course dinner served buffet-style on board. These piping hot Hungarian dishes will give you a true taste of Budapest. The Itinerary listed below provides a sample of the menu. As you dine, continue to enjoy the view through the large windows. Relax with a glass of wine, beer or a soft drink as the Hungária Folk Orchestra begins to fill the boat with the sounds of traditional folk songs. If you're up for a hit of fresh air, head to the upper deck for a 360-degree view of the city. Additional drinks will be available for purchase at the bar if you wish.
