Take a break from hitting the slopes and hiking the alpine forest to indulge in some fine British Columbia cuisine. You'll get acquainted with some of the hotspots on the agenda before setting off on a 3.5-hour progressive dinner tour.Start at the famous Barefoot Bistro, home to resident chef Melissa Craig - Canada's 2008 top chef - as well as an impressive 15,000-bottle wine cellar. Learn the centuries-old French tradition of sabrage, where a sword is used to open a champagne bottle. Your excursion includes four food courses as well as a wine-tasting lesson. You'll enjoy an array of delectable dishes made with regionally sourced ingredients. Samples may include a creative amuse-bouche, local wild salmon, cajun-crusted ahi, seasonal desserts and icewine confections at Roger's Chocolates.
