BY CAR - Disabled drop off zone and allocated disabled parking available - Car Parking is usually available in the driveway of Newstead Park leading up to Newstead House BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT Brisbane City Council buses stop at Bus Stop 12 inbound and outbound. BY TRAIN Bowen Hills train station is the closest to Newstead House with a 30 minute walk required to Newstead Park. FERRY River City Cruises depart from the River Lookout Cruise Terminal (Jetty A), Southbank Parklands at 10.30am arriving at the John Oxley Landing, Newstead Park at 11.15am. On its second cruise, The Neptune then departs at 1.15pm returning to Southbank at 2.00pm. CYCLING Cycling through Newstead Park either to or from Teneriffe & Newfarm is one of the most picturesque rides available in Australia, with bike ways running along the side of the Brisbane River for most of the journey. Newstead House is the perfect rest spot to take in the breezes!Please Note: Bike shoes not permitted on verandahs.
