Join your driver for an exploration of the Ourika, Oukaimeden, Sidi Fares, and Asni valleys, admiring the area's diverse range of waterfalls, traditional Berber villages and fruit orchards along the way. During your trip you'll have the chance to interact with Berber residents and visit a collective for argan oil. Your trip also includes round-trip hotel transport and a ride by minivan or 4x4. What To Expect

Head deep in Morocco's Atlas Mountains as you visit four of its most majestic valleys on this private driving excursion from Marrakech. This trip is a great opportunity to get a sense of the incredible mountain scenery and unique Berber culture that characterizes this rugged region.Start your day with an 8:30am pickup from your hotel or riad. Those staying in the Medina may need to make a short walk to reach the closest road accessible to vehicles. You'll receive an introduction to your driver and climb into your air-conditioned vehicle for the drive to the picturesque Atlas Mountains, continuing on a 1-hour drive to the Ourika Valley. This stunning valley is known for its abundant greenery and scenic waterfalls, giving it a reputation as a real-life desert oasis. If you're interested in exploring this unique area in more depth, an option to hire local guide (at your own expense) is available.Move next to an argan oil cooperative run by a group of local women. This highly desirable oil, which comes from the argan tree, is used in variety of food products and cosmetics. Take a walk at the site of the cooperative, which features a wonderfully-scented garden adorned with plants prized for their beauty and medicinal properties. Then continue on a drive to your next stop in the Oukaimeden Valley, tracing a remote mountain road that tops 5,900 feet (1,800m) as it weaves through rustic Berber villages. Make a rest stop at a traditional restaurant on the way, where you can grab some lunch (own expense) or pay for an optional upgrade to visit a local Berber family for a meal of tagine (a typical Moroccan stew) along with plenty of hospitality.After lunch, head with your driver to the Asni Valley, an area laden with walnut, almond, apple and peach trees situated high in the Atlas Mountain range. Check out the great views of the 13,665-foot (4,165m) Mount Toubkal, the tallest in North Africa, during your stop. Afterward, make your return trip to Marrakech.Those travelers who have purchased the optional upgrade will spend an additional hour visiting the brilliant-blue Takerkoust Lake and the limestone rock formation of the Kik Plateau, before making a return trip back to Marrakech for drop-off at their hotel or riad.
