Climbing in Arusha

Embark on a 6-day excursion up Mt Kilimanjaro's legendary Marangu Route, nicknamed the 'Coca-Cola' route because of its popularity. Set out from Arusha for Marangu Gate to start your ascent, hiking through forest, grasslands and desert before reaching moorland. Another 5-6 hours of trekking brings you to Horombo Hut. Here, spend a day acclimating and simply enjoying the surrounding scenery, then continue on through barren alpine desert to Kimbo Hut and a very early morning climb to the summit.
