What To Expect

After meeting up with your knowledgeable local guide at Diocletian's Palace in the center of Split, hop on the comfortable bus for the brief ride to the beautiful Cetina River. Get a short safety instructional, and put on the provided equipment. Then get in the raft because it's time to hit the rapids. Once in the inflatable raft with the experience skipper at your side and paddle out. Each raft holds eight people. As you make your way down the river, don't be afraid of falling overboard. It's part of the fun and the experience. Climb back in and take a second to admire the unspoiled Croatian countryside and nature that flanks the river. The river will hit patches of rough, bouncy water and sections of calm and placid water where you'll have a chance to enjoy the surroundings. As you paddle down the river through ravines and gorges, past villages and small towns, near green meadows and mountains, take a deep breath and be happy to be smack in the middle of beautiful bucolic Croatia. Or chat with your fellow raft-mates about the experience. After about 3 hours padding down the river in the raft, cruise up to shore and then finish this fun excursion at a traditional bread-making restaurant called Radmanove Mlinice. If you want or need, use the restaurant's facilities to freshen up and then take a well-earned rest in its leafy garden. Refuel with a lunch at your own expense (fruit, water, beer and soft drinks are not included)Then get on the bus to make the journey to Split.
